A Typical Day at the School
The best way to describe a typical day at Advantage Golf School is that there is no “typical” day. Because of our unique one to one instruction format each school is customized for each student. Prior to arrival the student completes a 25 question player profile that details everything about their golf game, from typical ball flight patterns to how often you play or practice as well as your goals and aspirations for your game. Armed with this information, our director of instruction custom designs a “game plan” for your improvement, he then reviews this program with your personal instructor prior to your arrival. Once here at the school, your instructor can adjust the itinerary to best suit your needs. A day begins at 10 a.m. with your instructor on the practice tee. Multiple times during your morning session your instructor will videotape your swing while working on specific swing instruction and drills. Breaking for lunch at 1:00 you’ll watch video from the morning and discuss swing improvement ideas. After lunch you and your instructor head to the course for a 9 hole playing lesson, the playing lesson lets your instructor help you with course management but additionally he is able to help you learn to take your game to the course, often the transition from the practice range to the golf course is a difficult one, your instructor will be there to help you learn to make the transition. After your nine holes you can choose to play more holes on your own, return to the practice areas, or head back to the hotel to relax after a fruitful day at the course.
